David Ly

David Ly is the visionary leader and founder of Iveda Solutions. David has served as President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors since the company’s inception. David has over 14 years of experience in wireless data, cellular, IT, and security surveillance. He was 27 years old when he founded the Company in 2003 and has developed the Company into a global organization. David’s major accomplishments include raising approximately $8 million through angel investors, taking the company public, acquiring a company in Taiwan, and securing the Company’s large U.S. and international accounts. Prior to founding the company, David had a successful career in sales and applications engineering. He held positions with several major corporations, including Applications Engineer at Metricom, Inc., Corporate Sales at Nextel Communications, Market Manager at Door To Door Storage, and B2B Sales Manager at T-Mobile USA. While at T-Mobile, David earned the President’s Club Top Salesman Award. David has 7 years of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) workshops and private mastery training in business leadership programs. David’s experience in sales and marketing and his clear vision of video surveillance through cloud computing have been invaluable to the Company’s success. David now serves on the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards of many technology, community, and law enforcement organizations. David received his B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering with a Minor in International Business from San Francisco State University in California.

Luz A. Berg
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Marketing Officer
Corporate Secretary


Luz Berg joined Iveda Solutions in 2004, prior to its incorporation as the VP of Marketing. She was promoted to Senior VP of Operations & Marketing in 2007, and was further promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer in 2009. Luz also serves as the Corporate Secretary. With over 20 years of business experience in a variety of industries, Luz has a proven track record in building a startup company from the ground up. She has been working alongside the CEO of the Company since its inception, ensuring that the Company remains focused on its goals and that the founder’s vision is realized. Luz manages the Company’s day-to-day operation, formulating policies and procedures, managing human resources, accounting, and finance. Luz has extensive experience in developing and implementing results-driven marketing communications plans for lead/sales generation, building brand, brand revitalization, and customer retention in a wide-range of industries. She has been instrumental in the Company’s messaging and image building. Prior to Iveda Solutions, Luz served as the Director of Marketing at Cygnus Business Media, a publishing company, and at Penton Media, a 125-year old publishing company. She has also worked in the high-tech industry as Marketing Programs and Channel Marketing Manager at Metricom, Inc., a wide-area broadband wireless company, and Spectra-Physics Lasers/Newport (NASDAQ: NEWP), the first commercial laser company, as Marketing Communications Specialist. Luz started her professional career at Standard & Poor’s as a sales assistant while completing her degree. Luz received her B.A. Degree in Management from St. Mary’s College in California.

Alex Kuo
Chief Strategy Officer

Alex Kuo was first hired as a consultant in 2009 to facilitate the acquisition of MEGAsys – Tawain. Shortly after the completion of the acquisition, Iveda Solutions hired Alex in May 2011 as Senior Vice President of Global Strategies and General Manager – Asia and recently promoted to Chief Strategy Officer. Alex will develop and manage new alliances with companies that will advance Iveda Solutions’ global play both on the customer and supplier side. Alex will also manage operation and expansion in Asia.  Alex has 20 years of executive experience at Acer Group. Prior to Acer, he was General Manager at Servex/Anextek. He also held Vice President and Senior Vice President positions at China Security and Surveillance Technology (NYSE:CSR), FalconStor Software (NASDAQ: FALC), and Global Data Solutions, Co. Alex also serves as an instructor at the Cloud Computing Industry Association of Taiwan. Alex received his Master of Science and Technology Innovation Management degree at George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science at National Taiwan University..

Dick Gibson
Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Support

Dick Gibson is the newest addition to the management team. He joined Iveda Solutions in October 2011. Dick comes to Iveda Solutions with 30 years’ experience in IT, networks, and security. He has held leadership positions in large companies such as IBM and Motorola, as well as in several smaller companies. Most recently, Dick was Senior Vice President of Sales and Service at SEER Technology, Inc., a developer of indoor positioning and tracking devices and chemical detection and identification devices for the public safety, military, and commercial security markets. Dick will lead and manage the company’s sales organization, including direct, resellers, and distribution channels. He will assist with strategic sales initiatives in the U.S. and overseas. Dick will also work on establishing and enhancing new sales and customer service methodologies, systems, and organization. Dick received his MBA degree at Thunderbird School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona, specializing in the Asia region. He earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in International Relations degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude. He also completed IBM’s Internal Graduate School program at IBM Systems Research Institute.

Ray Palomaa
Vice President of Channel Sales

Ray Palomaa joined Iveda Solutions in 2008 as Director of Sales and was promoted to Vice President of Channel Sales in 2010. Ray has over 25 years of experience in high-tech sales, business development, and channel management, 12 years of which are in video surveillance. His focus is to develop the Company’s reseller distribution channel in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to Iveda Solutions, Ray was Vice President of Sales, National Accounts and Distribution at IQinVision. Ray, a security technology insider, was a founding member of IQinVision instrumental in building their strategic customer base and reseller distribution channel that helped the company develop into a market leader in mega-pixel surveillance cameras. Prior to that he held National Accounts Manager and Division Manager positions at Wyle Electronics, a $1.4 billion industrial distributor of electronic components and computer products serving OEM customers in the computer, telecommunications and industrial markets. Wyle was acquired by Arrow Electronics in August of 2000.

Dave Rovai
Director of IT

Dave Rovai joined Iveda Solutions in 2008 and has built a team of developers and network engineers instrumental in building Iveda Solutions solid cloud-based video surveillance infrastructure from scratch, including the Internet, database, storage, and management reporting critical to the success of the of the Company’s video SaaS solution. Dave’s judicious use of resources and infrastructure cost containment drove the internal teams to successful solutions. Dave has 23 years of IT experience and held various technical and management positions from medium-size to large-size corporations such as IBM, Siemens, ROLM, Intertrust, PublishOne, Inc. and Convergent Communications. Dave’s career includes management and technical leadership roles at Convergent Communications where he managed Network, Server (Unix and Microsoft) consultants, customer projects consisting of complete IT outsourced relationships, company moves, and infrastructure rollouts. At IBM and Siemens, Dave had a number of technical and management roles including Data Center Manager and was instrumental in the IBM conversion from a mainframe-based company to a client server NT based nationwide rollout of the 5000 user ROLM division.  Dave has a wealth of experience in building IT infrastructure, network security, telephony, system administration, design, implementation, and data center management. Dave has numerous technical certifications from AT&T, ROLM, Microsoft, APC and a project management certification from UC Berkeley.

Lynne Phillis
Controller

Lynne Phillis joined Iveda Solutions in August 2011. Lynne has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. She came to us after about 5 years at Medtronic Spinal & Biologics as a Controller and Senior Sales Analyst. Prior to that she held accounting manager, senior accountant, and senior financial analyst positions at MicroAge, National IPF Company, Applied Risk Management, Sippin Bros. Oil Company. Lynne is responsible for all accounting and finance matters, including day-to-day accounting, preparation of financial statements, audits, and SEC filings. Currently, Lynne is serving as the Company’s Principal Financial and Accounting Officer. Lynne started her career in accounting and finance at McGladrey & Pullen, as senior accountant involved in audit processes and supervising audit teams from planning to final stages of the customer audit. Lynne received her B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Major in Accounting at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
